During the observations students must record the date, time, and how many degrees the Moon is from the ground. Have students observe the Moon every night from the same place for one month. They can refer to Table 2.1 on page 43 for reference. Have students identify the lunar phase in each picture. Gather numerous pictures of the Moon from Earth’s view.
